The fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning, and now I can't find my way back to bed. Apparently the fire alarms here at Pooley come off very often. I'm expecting a lot of sudden wake-up calls for the year, and the next time it rings, I'll be ready with my gears. So watch out you cigarette-litting boneheads you!

Oh by the way, London is fine, and the people are just so friendly. I've already received invitations to drinks and sisha, and have gotten on the 205 bus all by myself to go back and forth Pooley-Floyer on my first day. There are some awkward moments though, like when I was walking to the bus stop, an Anglo-African stopped me in my tracks and asked if he could tell me something about Jesus. To which I replied, "I'm quite in a rush, and I'm not even Christian". But the guy was very insistent, so I did what any normal international student would: run. Haha smooth eh?

I've only been here 2 days, and it has been interesting. If you're studying in the UK, come down to London this Christmas. I'll be alone in my flat, because all of my flatmates are going home. Maybe we could go get ourselves some sisha, I'd like to know how it tastes like. I wanted to try in Malaysia, but my brothers won't let me. Which is funny, because when my flatmates asked me "do you do sisha?", I replied "umm sometimes" while looking down at my feet.
