Now I know I should have never been an IB student. I planned to work on my 4000 word extended essay on The Scarlet Letter today, but instead, I spent the whole day looking for backup rhythms for Oasis' Stand By Me and transpositions for Eagle Eye Cherry's Save Tonight. I sat in front of my laptop the whole day, and when mom came in, she just put the clean laundry on my bed and went out, without telling me to go put the cushion covers on or carry the living room table outside or whatever chores she can think of making me do. She must have thought I was doing my homework, when I was actually busy recording the bridge and chorus of Stand By Me and trying to fit a few backup rhythms for it. Well, how about that? I think I've found a new way to evade house chores. Cool.
p/s: I find distorting Oasis' songs amusingly relaxing. Next to distort - Wonderwall.
